Please come visit us on the beautiful Amite River in French Settlement, Louisiana. Our facilities lies nestled among moss covered oaks and majestic cypress trees. Blue herons, squirrels, raccoons, and an occasional alligator ambles along the banks of the Amite River. All this wildlife provides an appearance of solitude but in reality, we are located only 20 minutes from Interstate 10 in Sorrento, Louisiana.

Wishbone Kennels was designed with the health of our dogs as a top priority. In order to eliminate any contamination, we have concrete runs. Red cedar is used throughout our kennel to repel fleas and ticks. Sky blue paint is used to wards off the flies, wasp and other flying insects.

The main building and whelping area is heated and cooled for comfort of our family dogs and clean dog runs allow our dog to have the fresh air and playing room they need. We also have complete preventative medication program. Our program provides for the elimination of heartworms, kennel cough and all other diseases.

We also have a complete preventative medication program that strives to eliminate, heart worms, kennel cough, hook worms, round worms, and whip worms, and routinely the kennels are washed with Clorox solution to remove any other fungus,or bacteria from the kennel floors.

There is also a very large play area in the rear of the kennel, where all the pets are allowed to socialize and play together every afternoon. I feel that this supervised socializing with other animals and people produces a pet that is less likely to be aggressive, territorial, or possessive.
